Another option that could be considered in the range of incentives for employees could be either more diversified investments like Exchange Traded Funds. Then in times of trouble employees could feel more stable with a widely diversified liquid index ETF fund to allow them to adjust to lifes events. Not all company stock is as liquid as ETFs.
