Morningstar are teaming up with the ASX to offer FREE seminars on ETFs and their use in your portfolio in each major capital city during March and April.
The seminar will include a presentation by Morningstar's ETFs analyst, Zac Wallis, as well as other industry specialists.
The seminars are in two parts running over two hours in total and will cover a wide range of factors;
Session 1: "The Essential Guide to ETFs" is designed as an introduction to ETFs highlighting
- What are ETFs and how they work
- The different types of ETFs
- How do you research an ETF
- Risks and rewards
- Tips on how best to buy / sell an ETF
Session 2: ETF strategies to build / improve your portfolio in 2011 is framed around an economic overview with portfolio cases studies designed to highlight how ETFs within the current economic environment can be used to
- Build a diversified shares portfolio
- Manage risk / rebalance your portfolio based on sector weightings
- Build diversified access to attractive investment themes
